PA Hire
2007 has been another busy year for Ultrasonics Audio.
We have invested substantially once again in capital equipment. Our hire stock now includes even more D&B C4 system boxes and D&B Amplification, selected for their excellent sound reproduction and power capability.
Further investment in Yamaha Digital mixing consoles supplements our existing stock of consoles by Midas, Soundcraft and Allen & Heath.
We have also invested in a substantial stock of Shure Diversity radio microphones, making us the area's leading hirer of these systems. We can now with various microphone options i.e. handheld or lavalier type.
We have toured the UK throughout the year with The Blues Band and The Manfreds, Al Martino, Mickey Rooney and Reelin & Rockin. We have worked with some of these artistes for many years.
November 2007 – Our fourth consecutive year providing full live theatre PA and engineering services to The Grimsby Operatic Society at Grimsby Auditorium. This years production ‘Oliver’ requiring 22 lavalier mic systems!
November 2007 – PA production services for live DVD recording of The Blues Band and The Manfreds
November 2007 – The usual round of Christmas lights ‘switch-on’ events throughout Lincolnshire.
October 2007 – Manfreds touring extensively throughout the UK
October 2007 – PA supply for ‘The Gainsborough Folk Festival’ for the 10th consecutive occasion.
February 2007 – Our second year providing PA & engineering services (including radio microphones) for The Grimsby Gang Show held for the full week at Grimsby Auditorium.
February 2007 – Al Martino Tour of The UK, complete with 18 piece orchestra. One of the most memorable and satisfying tours we have had the pleasure of being involved with. Al Martino – an absolute legend to work with!
December 2006 – Blues Band touring period ‘Christmas shows’
December 2006 – A week at ‘Lakeside’ Camberley with the Reelin & Rockin’ show
December 31st 2006 – Last ever show at Cleethorpes Winter Gardens prior to its demolition. A sad occasion for us personally – this is where we first met in 1986!
November 2006 – PA and engineer hire to ‘Nelsonica’ – an annual fan-club event starring Bill Nelson (ex. Be Bop Deluxe). Ian has worked exclusively as Bill’s Front of house engineer and tour manager for the last 5 years.
November 2006 – Our third consecutive year providing full live theatre PA and engineering services to The Grimsby Operatic Society production of Fiddler on the Roof. The show runs November 7 th – 12th at Grimsby Auditorium.
October – December 2006 – P.A and Engineering services for the Maximum Rhythm & Blues Tour consisting of 33 theatre and auditorium dates throughout the UK. This was our fifth time as PA providers for the Maximum Rhythm & Blues tour.
October 2006 – Rotary conference – Llandudno featuring Reelin’ and Rockin’ variety show
October 2006 – ‘Babyshambles’ at Loughborough Students' Union freshers ball. Quite an experience (although expected!) Pete Doherty only managed to destroy two microphones although the lighting company suffered more serious damage!
September 2006 – SAGA FM Birthday Bash - Glasgow Royal Concert Hall (2500 capacity) featuring The Joe Loss Orchestra and Reelin’ and Rockin’ (Dave Dee, Mike Pender, Brian Poole, Wayne Fontana and Tony Crane)
July 2006 – Dyslexia Action Charity Event, Egham, Surrey. We successfully provided full production at this outdoor festival-style event i.e power, staging, PA and lighting.
June 2006 – We provided PA, sound engineering and video projection for the Hollywood legend Mickey Rooney's tour of theatre venues throughout the UK.
